D-Day Wear.ca is a Canadian offshoot of D-Day Wear.com ® a clothing concept that was originally created to honour the fallen of the largest Military invasion in history. We are primarily an e-commerce business based in Guelph Ontario, Canada without an actual physical brick and mortar location. However we travel across the province and we do a lot of shows! At those shows we offer a couple of pieces that are strictly Canadian and not available on our .com website, so we thought we would develop this store and offer those pieces and a couple of new ones to you.
Our Mission as a Commemorative Military Apparel Retailer and Clothing Designer is to keep history alive, one t-shirt at a time.
D-Day Wear was designed to remind people of all ages how fortunate we are that so many gave so much for our countries in their time of need. We want people of Canada, The United States of America (USA), Great Britain / The United Kingdom (UK) and the other countries that were a part of the Allied Forces such as Australia, Belgium, Czechoslovakia, France, Greece, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway and Poland to proudly wear these symbols of patriotism on a day to day basis.
People wearing our commemorative clothing designs will generate a year round public awareness while paying tribute to all our veterans and current soldiers of our great nations, be it a sweatshirt with a hoodie or a V-neck or just a crew neck t-shirt, in fact we believe, that with our screen printed and embroidered designs being so artistically unique, most any person regardless of their country of origin, will want to buy these commemorative apparel designs for their fashion statement.
You can view our work and other designs on our clothing line at www.ddaywear.com.(e.g. view our Devil’s Brigade, along with our Battle of Britain that incorporate a combination of embroidery and screen printing techniques, or Liberation of the Netherlands and our Commemorative 75th Anniversary of D-Day embroidered designs).
We participated in providing every Canadian soldier that fell June 6, 1944 a name plaque on the memorial pillars, on the beach they fought and gave their all in time for the 70th anniversary of D-Day. Forever marking in history their contributions to the war effort. Other than the Juno Beach Centre, there were not current dedications on the American and British beaches to honour/honor the fallen by name and we were unable to change that. Having completed the first part of our mission to in participating to honour every fallen Canadian K.I.A. on D-Day, we ended our relationship with the Juno Beach Association and changed our philanthropic direction.
We are now focussing our attentions on providing Veterans suffering with PTSD professional Service Dogs. As well we will be launching a new song and video called ‘This Flag Flies Free’ which will help raise awareness and money to best serve our Veterans.
So we will have to see what the next 14 years brings. That being said, a portion of the profits from the sales the items in this store will be directed to those aforementioned organizations.
We have a lot of things up and coming, one of which is a song entitled "This Flag Flies Free" That we plan on releasing in the near future, our goal with that is to raise $1,000,000 for P.T.S.D. so get ready for it. Sounds like a lot of money, but we figure we only need a million people to download the song for a dollar and we can some things done world wide.
A lot of people are bringing awareness to P.T.S.D., but something has to be done to raise money for those who suffer from it whether it be for therapy or service dogs, either way it all costs money.
If you want to follow the progress of the song you can find us on Facebook
That's it for now, enjoy your shopping experience, if you have any questions you can always drop us an email at email@example.com and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
